KPOP Korral - [Girls' Generation] - Oh!

There has been one KPOP group over the last two years that can seem to do no wrong.  Every waygook in South Korea can name at least one KPOP group, and Girls' Generation (소녀시대 or SNSD) is it.

The group consists of nine members: TaeYeon (김태연), Jessica (정수연), Sunny (이순규), Tiffany (황미영), HyoYeon (김효연), YuRi (권유리), SooYoung (최수영), YoonA (임윤아), SeoHyun (서주현).  They were formed in 2007 by SM Entertainment.  They are most well known for their hit song "Gee", which now holds the record for being the longest running #1 song on KBS's Music Bank, having held the #1 chart ranking for 9 consecutive weeks.

Ask A Korean recently did a profile on them and described them as "The most perfect business plan for a girl group so far."  Which is true.  They have been on a chart breaking rampage over the last two years and everything they touch seems to turn to gold for them.  Most recently they have been promoting Japanese versions of their music and trying their luck in foreign markets.  Rumors are also abound that they are planning for their next language invasion in the United States.

Their two big hits of 2010 thus far have been "Oh!" (오) and "Run Devil Run"(런데빌런).  I was unable to choose between the two of them which was more influential in the world of KPOP this year, so I felt the need to post them both.

The above was an odd video when you realize and think about the fact that nobody in Korean plays American football.

Their other video is Run Devil Run.

The "Oh!" video seems to not work - one has to go to Youtube to watch it.

That's bizarre. I tried it on both my Chrome and Explorer browsers and it worked both times. Likewise, embedding is not disabled for this video on youtube. I have no idea why it didn't work for you.
